History

Astrology has an ancient and rich history. Studying its origins is crucial for a wider understanding, not only of its substantial influence on current society, but also for a deeper understanding of how to approach many technical matters of chart interpretation. The HS series of courses cover the history of astrology from its early foundations in Mesopotamia and Egypt all the way through to the astrology that's practiced today in the 21st century. It examines its rich philosophical, religious and political influences in the Roman, Islamic, and Medieval periods as well as what happens to astrology as it traverses the Renaissance and Enlightenment periods.
